Deine Mission

Als AI-Platform Engineer (m/w/d) baust Du unsere selbst gehostete AI-Plattform aus und entwickelst sie strategisch weiter. In dieser Pionierrolle gestaltest Du aktiv mit, wie künstliche Intelligenz in unserem vielfältigen Unternehmensumfeld eingesetzt wird – von der Infrastruktur über das Training von Modellen bis hin zur Bereitstellung für die unterschiedlichsten Anwendungsfälle.

Da wir am Anfang dieser spannenden Reise stehen, hast Du maximalen Gestaltungsspielraum, um optimale Lösungen zu entwickeln und Standards zu setzen.

Spannende Aufgaben warten auf Dich

Aufbau und Betrieb unserer selbst gehosteten AI-Plattform mit skalierbarer und sicherer Infrastruktur
Training und Optimierung von AI-Modellen für Software-Entwicklung, Dokumentation, Produktionsqualität und Security-Anwendungen auf Basis interner und externer Datenbestände
Enge Zusammenarbeit mit interdisziplinären Teams aus z.B. Hardware-Design oder Software
Bereitstellung von AI-Services und APIs für verschiedene Fachabteilungen
Implementierung von MLOps, Monitoring und Governance unter Einhaltung von Datenschutz- und Sicherheitsstandards
Evaluation neuer AI-Technologien und Frameworks zur Innovationsförderung

Dein Profil

Abschluss eines Studiums in Informatik, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence oder einer verwandten Fachrichtung (BSC, MSC oder gleichwertig)
Du bist aufgeschlossen und arbeitest gerne im Team
Fundierte Erfahrung im Bereich Machine Learning und Deep Learning sowie praktische Kenntnisse in der Entwicklung und dem Training von AI-Modellen
Sehr gute Kenntnisse in Python und relevanten ML-Frameworks (z.B. PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers)
Erfahrung mit MLOps-Tools und -Praktiken (z.B. MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes)
Kenntnisse im Bereich LLMs und deren Fine-Tuning sind von großem Vorteil
Grundlegendes Verständnis von AI-Hardware (z.B. GPUs, TPUs) und deren Einsatz ist von Vorteil ebenso wie Erfahrung mit Cloud-Infrastrukturen oder On-Premises-Deployment von AI-Systemen
Verständnis für Datenschutz, IT-Sicherheit und Compliance-Anforderungen im Kontext von AI
Eigeninitiative und die Fähigkeit, in einem noch jungen Umfeld eigenständig Strukturen aufzubauen
Gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift setzen wir voraus

Your mission

As an AI Platform Engineer (m/f/d), you will expand our self-hosted AI platform and develop it strategically. In this pioneering role, you will actively shape how artificial intelligence is used in our diverse corporate environment—from infrastructure and model training to deployment for a wide variety of use cases.
As we are at the beginning of this exciting journey, you will have maximum creative freedom to develop optimal solutions and set standards.

Exciting tasks are waiting for you

Setting up and operating our self-hosted AI platform with scalable and secure infrastructure
Training and optimizing AI models for software development, documentation, production quality, and security applications based on internal and external data sets
Working closely with interdisciplinary teams from areas such as hardware design or software
Provision of AI services and APIs for various departments
Implementation of MLOps, monitoring, and governance in compliance with data protection and security standards
Evaluation of new AI technologies and frameworks to promote innovation

Your profile

Completion of a degree in computer science, data science, artificial intelligence, or a related field (BSC, MSC, or equivalent)
You are open-minded and enjoy working in a team
In-depth experience in machine learning and deep learning, as well as practical knowledge in the development and training of AI models
Very good knowledge of Python and relevant ML frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face Transformers)
Experience with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of LLMs and their fine-tuning is a great advantage
Basic understanding of AI hardware (e.g., GPUs, TPUs) and its use is an advantage, as is experience with cloud infrastructures or on-premises deployment of AI systems
Understanding of data protection, IT security, and compliance requirements in the context of AI
Initiative and the ability to independently build structures in a still young environment
Good written and spoken English skills are required
